Welcome to the original RPG-Directory!
We will be returning to this place shortly so we can move the current 'D to another server and possibly new software. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we've tried to make it as painless as possible.
For more information, please read this announcement ( link) and give us just a bit more time to clean up this version of the 'D!
In the mean time, feel free to join us in the cbox ( link) and follow the updates on twitter ( link) and facebook ( link) !
We'll be back soon, we promise. Until then...
Happy gaming!
RPG-D Staff.

- In order to submit your advertisement, you must have fifteen [15] quality posts on RPG-D.
- All ads must be submitted by an admin or global moderator of the board.
- Boards must follow both the Inivisonfree Terms of Service and the Terms of Service of the webhost they are on.
- Ads may be submitted for any board host [IF/ZB/IPB/vB/PB/phpBB/ etc.] but members should be able to sign up for free.
- You must have our mini-button on the index of your board, either in the header, footer or sidebar. If we can't find the button your advertisement will be trashed (the button should be visible, not in a drop down list or in another form). However if you have troubles with this, please pm ShinLi to see if something else can be arranged!
- Our button should not be altered in any way, shape or form. You will be asked to replace it with our original button within 24 hours if this is noticed.
- Forums should be online and should not force guests to log in to see them.
- Once your board has been sorted into the Directory, a colored dot will indicate its activity level. It is not allowed to change this topic marker yourself.
- Members are allowed one 'freebie' bump after their ad has been accepted into our directory. This 'freebie' bump may only be made within the first month of their ad being sorted, and cannot be used at any other time while their ad is in our directory. Because the sorting multi-mod is counted as a post, the ad submitter may reply to their ad within the first month without being penalized. However, after that bump, the ad submitter must wait one calendar month before bumping again (the period extending from a date in one month to the corresponding date in the following month). Anybody found bumping more than once-per-month after their 'freebie' bump will be warned, and further bumping will result in the trashing of the ad.
- Non-forum RPGs (Second Life, blogs, email etc) are accepted at RPG-D. Please read the additional notes below!
- Advertising via PM is strictly forbidden. If you have received a PM advertising a board, forward this to 'ShinLi' and do not reply to it.
- Make sure to read the entire list of rules here and use the form when submitting!

- Boards that are listed in the Directory must have the RPG-Directory button on their board. If not, the ad will be deleted!
- If your board is listed in the Directory and has been closed (either turned offline or deleted), please PM a Directory Checker so the advertisement can be removed.

The shoutbox is a membership shoutbox only. This means you first got to register before you can submit messages. We would appreciate if you would only register once.
The following rules and guidelines apply to all RPG-D members and guests (who register on the shoutbox) alike who use the shoutbox. Breaking these rules might result in a ban from the shoutbox.
- Only one account per user. (and yes we will check and warn if we find double accounts)
- It is not allowed to advertise in any shape or form. Doing so will result in a warning, second time it might lead to a ban.
- It is not allowed to spam in the shoutbox. Meaning multiple messages after each other with no purpose or meaning. (you might get an auto-ban then, meaning the cbox bannes you automatically)
- Trolling on the cbox is not allowed.
- Just use your common sense, and adhere to all other RPG-D rules.
- Do not take authority in own hands, and when you see someone breaking a rule, notify a staff member via pm, and not try to 'warn' somebody yourself! If doing so it might result in you being warned as well ;).
To register on the cbox input the name you'd like to use on the cbox in the 'name' field. Then click the 'profile' link, if the name is not taken yet, it will ask you to input a password to protect that name and so it will be yours. From then on you can use that name/password to login into our cbox!

Ratings should be used when you are advertising your RPG, so that others know what they can accept on your RPG in terms of language, violance etc. Therefore I made this topic to explain the ratings. Most of you know these ratings, if you are not sure, just read trough them. On RPG-D we use the USA ratings system.
- G - General Audience, All ages admitted :: This contains nothing in theme, language, nudity and sex, violence, etc. Some snippets of language may go beyond polite conversation but they are common everyday expressions. The violence is at a minimum. Nudity and sex scenes are not present, nor is there any drug use content.
- PG - Parental guidance suggested, Some material may not be suitable for young children :: There may be some violence or brief nudity. There is no drug use.
- PG-13 - Parents strongly cautioned, Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13 :: It leaps beyond the boundaries of the PG rating, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, or other contents but these are not so severe then the R rating.
- PG-13 - Parents strongly cautioned, Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13 :: It leaps beyond the boundaries of the PG rating, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, or other contents but these are not so severe then the R rating.
- R - Restricted, Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian :: Rating R defiantly contains adult material. It may include strong language, violence, nudity, drug abuse, other elements, or a combination of the above.
- NC-17 - No children 17 and under admitted, NC-17 does not necessarily mean obscene or pornographic. The reasons for the application of an NC-17 rating can be excessive violence, sex, aberrational behavior, drug abuse or any other elements.

DIRECTORY MODERATORS
Directory moderators provide the backbone of RPG-D as we have always been foremost, an advertising community. They make sure that the directory stays organized as well as other select activities listed below.
COMMUNITY MODERATORS
Community moderators are the 'face of the forum'. They handle all the discussion topics, as well as provide help to members when needed. They are the people to go to to voice your troubles, the people to be there for our members. They address member concerns, arguments between members, & other issues, make sure that threads keep in line with board conduct, and manage many of the community based forums.
GRAPHICS MODERATORS
Graphics moderators keep our graphics boards in line. They are the front lines of creativity! They try to keep members entertained with creative, artistic, and fun events and challenges. As well as try to make sure everyone gets their graphical needs met. They host challenges, manage the forums that have to do with graphics, art, and other forms of creativity.
SUPPORT MODERATORS
Support moderators are our technical gurus. Break your board? These are the people you should talk with. They try to inspire our coding muses and give valuable feedback on the state of your board overall. They host challenges, upkeep and implement forum codes, and manage the forums that have to do with codes and forum support.
STAFF MANAGERS
Sometimes we all just need a little organization! Therefore we have a head of each group, and sometimes a second in command that keep things running smoothly. They also have some specific duties that require their ACP access. They organize our staff teams, update using the ACP, and are in charge of promotions.
ADMINS AND CO-ADMINS
These are managers with a kick! While ShinLi is the only owner of RPG-D the co-admins are able to make executive decisions when needed.
